How exactly does this work?

It’s SUPER EASY!

1. Send me your music/song, recorded to a click.

Feel free to include any references, inputs, ideas or thoughts of how you think the drum tracks should sound like. We are all about collaborating!! Make sure to add the tempo (bpm) of your music.

2. We’ll record your drum tracks in our studio (44.1 kHz / 24 bit). We are using different drum-sets and cymbals, hand picked according to your needs, requests and what you have in mind.

3. We will send you the drum tracks within 72 hours via ‘We Transfer’. We’ll be happy to send it to you in any other way if you wish. please let us know 🙂

How will I be sure your drums will line up with my tracks?

We are very careful to make sure everything will sync up easily on your end. Please make sure your guide track is lined up to start exactly at the beginning of your session, or at the beginning of a measure (one or two bars before the start of the tune always works) and I’ll make sure my drum tracks start at exactly the same point, so you’ll just drop them in to your session, line them up, and you’ll be good to go!

How should I communicate how I want the drums to sound?

If you have programmed drums on your music, please send a version of your guide track with them included, so we can hear the direction you’re going in. Moreover, feel free to always (extremely helpful) reference any songs that have drum sounds and/or grooves similar to what you want. We are welcoming you to express your opinion as much as possible before we record so we can be as accurate as possible to your needs.

What file format do you use?

We normally use WAV files at 24bit, 44.1k.

How will you deliver the tracks?

We normally just zip them all up and send via WeTransfer. But if using Dropbox or some other similar service is easier for you, Please let us know – we are happy to do that as well.

How many tracks do you normally record?

I usually do 10-12 tracks. But here again, we can do whatever you prefer. We can choose an old school approach – just one overhead and kick if you want things super simple. These are your tracks, so just let us know!

What kinds of drums do you use?

Check out the Gear page for a full listing, but I have a few setups that I do seem to use a lot: a dark vintage sound with my 1965 Ludwig Classic kit, toms usually muffled, more of a dry sounding kit; a more “open” big sound with my Gretch USA Maple kit, toms are resonating; a more 80’s classic sound with a Yamaha Recording Custom power toms; a more american rock sounding DW kit; and a more hip-hop small sounding SONOR kit with lots of punch. Snare drums and cymbals vary wildly.

What kinds of mics and preamps do you use?

You can go to the Gear page for a list of recording equipment that we use

Do you do percussion as well?

Yes. Our percussion tracks will add to your tracks. We’ll add Shakers or Tambourine as a default. Please let us know what it is that you need. We’d love to help you getting the tracks that you desired.

Why choose an online over traditional studio?

COST: You save a ton! it’s much cheaper to pay for only the tracks, as opposed to renting a studio, paying an engineer, AND paying the drummer.

TIME: Time is extremely valuable. Trying to schedule a studio, an engineer, a drummer, and finding time in your own schedule can be difficult. Just send us your stuff and we do all the work, and in 3 days, drum tracks are delivered to your computer!

SOUND: We’ve got great-sounding gear and a great-sounding room. Since we have all the drum, cymbal, and percussion collection here, the sound possibilities are much greater than they’d be in a traditional studio.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL: As a professional drummer recording is not all. A lot left is undone when the drum tracking is complete. You go home with lots of different takes and likely lots of comping and editing to do. We deliver the most pristine takes usually comp’ed from the best moments. This saves you the hassle of doing it yourself, and lets you rest assured that We’ve paid close attention to making the edits clean.

GETTING A GREAT TAKE: We all wanna be inspired. Having the right environment to do so is crucial. Since we make sure everything is set up – we can focus more intently on being creative and delivering some killer drum tracks. And that’s absolutely the most important thing of all, getting a creative and inspired performance.

What is the Drummer's track?

This is our drummer’s perspective on your music! having a 22 year experience, you will get a take from his professional, musical experience. You’ll be surprised but sometimes you’ll find gold in there 🙂

Why choose "online Drums Recording"?

I know there are many options out there. However, I believe there are a few things that lifts our services above the rest:

Communication – we make sure you are involved and part of the process all the way through. It is really important to us that you’d be very happy with the results!

Prices – we wanted to make it as profitable as possible for you. That’s why we created different packages to your convenience, adding extras to each package.

Sonically – you’ll get drum tracks that sound every bit as good as what you’ll hear from the world’s best recording studios. We are not recording in our bedroom or a basement. This is a dedicated studio set up specifically designed for recording drums.

Most Importantly – You and your music! Creating and recording music is an art. And it has to be treated this way. I promise to deliver a unique and inspired performance on every song. I spend time with each project to create something genuine, and I like to think that you can really hear the difference.
